West Ham United make formal offer for AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw
West Ham have made an offer for AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw, according to Italian journalist Manuele Baiocchini.
The transfer expert made the claim to SkySport24 on Friday (13 October), as per Milan News, with a “concrete” bid said to have been tabled.
Baiocchini added that Milan would make “a huge capital gain” should they accept West Ham’s offer for Thiaw, who only arrived at San Siro in August 2022.

One in, one out?
West Ham have been linked with Thiaw in the past, but he opted to join Milan over the Hammers when departing Schalke 14 months ago.
The 22-year-old has featured semi-regularly for the Rossoneri and has also been capped twice by Germany, both of those coming this year.
Exactly how much Milan would want for Thiaw remains to be seen, but it will surely be a lot more than the reported £6million they spent to sign him.

These links have emerged at an interesting time, as there have been suggestions that Kurt Zouma could be on his way out of the club in January [Claret & Hugh].
Konstantinos Mavropanos was signed in January and would slot in alongside Nayef Aguerd, although the latter has also been linked with a London Stadium exit.
Unlike some rumours, this one does seem to make sense on the face of it and is one to keep an eye on ahead of the January window.
In other West Ham news, a journalist has claimed that the departure of a David Moyes favourite next year “would not be a surprise”.
