Journalist makes prediction over Mohammed Kudus future at West Ham United after display v Wolves

Ghanaian journalist Owuraku Ampofo cannot see Mohammed Kudus remaining a West Ham player for much longer.

Kudus scored his first Premier League brace for the Irons in Sunday’s (17 December) win over Wolves at London Stadium.

The 23-year-old now has nine goals in 21 appearances for United in all competitions since joining from Ajax in a £38million deal [Sky Sports].

Despite only arriving in East London four months ago, Ampofo has already speculated that Kudus could soon be at another club.

“A first ever Premier League brace for Mohammed Kudus,” the 3Sports Ghana reporter posted on his personal Twitter page [17 December].

“The way he’s playing I don’t think he stays at West Ham for long.”

Not going anywhere

Kudus is proving to be worth every penny of the reported £38m West Ham paid to sign him from Ajax.

As a reminder, that is less than half the amount Manchester United splashed out to land Brazilian winger Antony.

The Ghana international has taken absolutely no time at all to settle into his new surrounding and he has undoubtedly improved United.

Even when he is not scoring, Kudus is still making an impact in games and must be an absolute nightmare to try to defend against.

West Ham

As he showed in the first half against Wolves in particular, you cannot switch off for a moment when it comes to Kudus.

There will inevitably be talk of other clubs being interested next summer, but that means absolutely nothing.

West Ham tied him down to a nice contract four months ago and have no reason to sell, so let’s nip this speculation in the bud right now.

In other West Ham news, the Irons could reportedly sell up to seven first-team players in January in order to free up funds.
