West Ham United transfer news: ExWHUemployee shares Declan Rice update amid Bayern Munich bid

Declan Rice has not accepted a move to Bayern Munich and there is no deal done with West Ham as it stands, according to ExWHUemployee.

The Hammers are expecting Rice to leave the club this summer as he pushes for Champions League football, with Arsenal and Bayern Munich seen as the frontrunners for his signature.

But after reports in the Spanish media that Bayern were about to close a deal for the 24-year-old, Ex took to his Patreon (4 June) to clarify the reports and deny their validity.

West Ham Declan Rice

“We can exclusively deny reports that Declan Rice has accepted a move to Bayern Munich and that it isn’t now a done deal for him to join the German side,” he wrote.

“These reports are very wide of the mark and not true.”

Expected

Bayern Munich and Arsenal are well known to be in the running for his signature and it’s expected that a deal will happen at some point.

But the likelihood of it happening before the England internationals later this month, nevermind before the Europa Conference League final this week is nigh on impossible.

West Ham

Rice wants Champions League football and wants to challenge for trophies, so Bayern are a more than credible destination.

But the likelihood is that Rice will want to stick around in England and the Premier League, meaning Arsenal will have the advantage over them. But also the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea are also likely to show an interest this summer so there is no rush for anything to happen.

It may happen in the future, and even in the coming weeks, but as of writing is hasn’t been done yet so West Ham fans can relax about Rice being distracted before Prague.
