West Ham United transfer news as two unnamed midfielders set to be presented

West Ham are looking to present an alternative picture to David Moyes of possible transfer targets this summer, with two unreported midfielders set to be included, according to ExWHUEmployee.

The reliable source shared via The West Ham Way that the club are now exploring other avenues after having bids rejected for a number of transfer targets in recent days.

These other avenues include a number of technical director Tim Steidten’s targets, including the likes of Denis Zakaria from Juventus, Youssef Fofana from Monaco, and Ajax’s Edson Alvarez, as well as the two unreported additional midfielders.

Speaking via The West Ham Way, ExWHUEmployee shared: “I have been told that the club will look to visit some of Tim Steidten’s targets and present an alternative picture to Moyes of possible targets.

“This is expected to include the likes of Forfana of Monaco, Zakaria of Juventus and Alvarez of Ajax plus a couple of unreported additional midfielders.”

Decisions are finally being made

While the club have appeared to be decisive in the transfer market after lodging mids for players including Scott McTominay, James Ward-Prowse and Conor Gallagher, all three bids were rejected swiftly as the Hammers failed to meet required valuations.

Now, the club have acted decisively to move for other targets amid the ongoing dispute between Moyes and Steidten, with some more exotic options being explored.

This can only be good news for the Hammers, as having multiple options to target makes them less likely to be caught short in the market, with less than two weeks to go until their Premier Leagues season kicks off with a visit to Bournemouth.

Steidten’s ideas go against Moyes’ ideal targets, with the Scotsman keen on bringing in players with Premier League experience, but offer more in terms of value for money and sell-on value, with the targets representing younger options.

As things stand, West Ham have just four midfielders to pick from in Flynn Downes, Conor Coventry, Lucas Paqueta and Thomas Soucek, so they will need to move quickly to bring in their new targets before the season starts.

In other West Ham news, the club want to do a deal for a new striker to replace Gianluca Scamacca.
