West Ham United transfer news as Tim Steidten jets to Brazil after £25m Luis Guilherme update
West Ham United technical director Tim Steidten has jetted to Brazil to try and close a deal for Luis Guilherme, according to talkSPORT.
The outlet reported on its website on Friday (31 May) that the Hammers have tabled a £25million transfer offer to try and secure the 18-year-old Palmerias star, early in the summer transfer window.
Guilherme has already entered talks over a potential move to the London Stadium and Steidten is understood to have made the trip to South America to ensure that the deal is completed without any late hiccups.
This comes after reports emerged that the Irons chief was already in Brazil in a desperate attempt to convince Fabricio Bruno to overcome his family concerns and make the move to East London [HITC, 31 May].

It is safe to say that Steidten is going all out to try and secure Julen Lopetegui one or two new players ahead of the summer transfer window as he has personally made the trip to South America to get this deal over the line.
Guilherme may not be the most experienced of players, but he appears to be highly coveted by a number of Premier League sides and he must have managed to impress the Hammers hierarchy if they’re willing to pay £25million for his signature.
Lopetegui will need additions, particularly in the wide areas this summer as the Irons have been incredibly reliant on Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus recently after they allowed Said Benrahama and Pablo Fornals to depart.
Whether or not the teenager has what it takes to come in and make an immediate impact in the Premier League remains to be seen, but if he hits the heights expected of him, £25million could begin to look like a steal.
Hopefully, Steidten will work his magic and manage to convince the 18-year-old to sign on the dotted line. Whatever happens, it looks set to be a summer of change at the London Stadium.
