West Ham United transfer news as five deals on cards at London Stadium
Dean Jones has shared that West Ham will sign five players before the transfer window closes as they look to strengthen their squad and listed Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah as one to watch.
The former Eurosport journalist reported that the Hammers are set for a “massive” month, in which they look to make their squad stronger by signing new players.
He shared his view that West Ham could take advantage of Chelsea’s desire to offload players who are surplus to requirements to bring Chalobah to East London.

Speaking via GIVEMESPORT, Jones shared: “At a time when Chelsea are offloading players they don’t think are quite good enough, it feels like a good opportunity West Ham could take advantage of.
“We’re looking at a massive month ahead for the Hammers, they will sign five players and have to find a way to make this all add up so they have a much stronger squad.
“As part of that they are looking for perfect partnerships all over the pitch and if Chalobah was to come in, I think he would complement someone like Kurt Zouma.”

A very busy month
If the Hammers do sign five new players this month, it will be a chaotic time for the fans as well as the club. Even if we assume deals for James Ward-Prowse and Harry Maguire are included here, it leaves West Ham with three more deals to do as they target players all over the pitch.
Positions of interest at West Ham include a striker, where they have been linked with Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun, Montpellier striker Elye Wahi, and Venezia striker Joel Pohjanpalo as they look to replace Gianluca Scamacca, who left the club to join Atalanta.
On top of Ward-Prowse in midfield, Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been a definite target with the club having a bid rejected already, and are expected to return to the deal.
Other players the Hammers have been linked to include Chelsea duo Conor Gallagher and left-back Ian Maatsen, Manchester City winger Cole Palmer, and AC Milan forward Charles de Ketelaere.
It looks like being a busy few weeks for West Ham, with the remainder of their transfer window definitely one to watch.
In other West Ham news, one player is ‘in London tonight’ as the club prepare to finalise a deal.
