West Ham United transfer news as Antonio Nusa now wanted at London Stadium

West Ham United are interested in signing Club Brugge forward Antonio Nusa, according to Dean Jones.

The former Eurosport journalist, reporting for news outlet Sport Lens (19 January) shared that both the Hammers and Brentford have joined Tottenham in the race to sign the talented 18-year-old, who has drawn favourable comparisons to Neymar (GOAL) by former Stabaek team-mate Mats Solheim in Norway.

Jones reports that Nusa is so highly rated by scouts that it would take in the region of £25million to secure his signature and Tottenham who have emerged as favourites (The Guardian, 19 January) face competition from West Ham and Brentford.

Difficult deal

West Ham will be desperately on the market for some attacking quality and entering the pool for young attacking talents like Nusa will be a welcome sight for the Hammers faithful.

The Hammers are caught between a rock and a hard place right now with injuries to Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus’ absence at AFCON so it is no surprise the club are scouting potential targets right now.

It’s been a long time since the Irons fans have had something to shout about regarding a hot new prospect getting bums off seats at London Stadium, and with the new and improved era the club is trying to enter right now, Nusa represents a perfect and exciting opportunity to explore.

Possessing great speed, balance and technique, it is easy to see why Nusa has drawn comparisons to Neymar in his early years and has long been earmarked for bigger things in future, following his breakthrough campaign over the last two seasons.

West Ham

It’s also believed in his native country, that he is currently their best young product to emerge after the likes of Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland, handing West Ham all the incentives they need to snap up his incredibly young but gifted services.

However, they face stiff competition from Tottenham who are in talks for his services making any potential deal very difficult.
