West Ham United transfer news: Aaron Cresswell deal to join Wolves rated 50/50 by source
Aaron Cresswell’s transfer from West Ham United to Wolves is currently rated at 50/50 to take place, according to a report by Claret and Hugh.
Writing on their official website (26 July), the reliable news outlet is reporting that a deal between the two clubs is yet to be agreed for the 33-year-old left-back to leave.
Wolves have had a £2.5m bid rejected with the Hammers holding out for £5m for the man who was tipped to take over the captaincy following Declan Rice’s exit to Arsenal, and a source says the deal is in the balance right now.

“However, according to our source at the club the move still has to be agreed with him saying: “It’s probably at the fifty fifty stage,” they wrote.
Interesting
Cresswell’s exit away from the London Stadium isn’t something that many people had expected to take place this summer, but now that it’s on the table it seems silly not to do it.
A veteran defender, Cresswell’s best years are firmly behind him at this point and he is now comfortably the second choice left-back at the club behind Emerson Palmieri.
He has one year remaining on his contract at the club and if we have an opportunity to make some money from his sale rather than lose him for free in 12 months time, we should be snapping their hand off.

With that said a replacement will be needed and if the money received isn’t enough to really help us bring someone in then it is likely to hinder us more than it will help us.
There’s a fine balance to the deal, but an exit seems to make more sense for all parties than keeping him around since everyone is open to the transfer.
In other West Ham news, a “prolific” 19-goal striker is wanted to replace one exit-bound star.
