West Ham United transfer ‘master plan’ revealed by ExWHUemployee in Wan-Bissaka update

West Ham targeted Noussair Mazraoui as part of a “master plan” to sign Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka for cheaper, according to ExWHUemployee.

The Hammers’ move to sign Bayern Munich’s full-back has now collapsed due to agent fees, as per Florian Plettenberg, which the insider believed would help lower the price for Wan-Bissaka.

As predicted, Man United have lowered their demands for the 26-year-old [Florian Plettenberg], with talks between the two parties now planned and a “domino effect” coming into play.

Speaking via The West Ham Way on Saturday (27 July), Hammers insider ExWHUemployee said: “When I confirmed our interest in Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui, I reported that Manchester United wanted the player and this could be a tactic.

“Their manager ten Haag worked with him at Ajax and identified him as his number one target, with Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries of Inter Milan as his second choice. It appeared that a deal involving Wan Bisakka to Inter was also on the cards.

“By coming close to signing for us we have triggered Manchester United to move for the Moroccan international as hoped, and in turn cool some of their interest in Dumfries.

“Not only does this mean Inter are likely to not want Wan-Bisakka now, but it means Manchester United have fewer options to sell to and have reduced their price.

“In turn, we can now offer more to Wan-Bisakka to get closer to the wages that Inter had tempted him by. This is a classic domino effect transfer and whilst it has a number of variables and points that it can break down at, that is the master plan.”

West Ham United send fans through the wringer for Aaron Wan-Bissaka deal

Fans at the London Stadium have been fuming with Tim Steidten and the club after news emerged of Mazraoui’s transfer collapsing, taking to social media to voice their frustrations.

However, if the above is true, the technical director needs much more than just a pat on the back, though bringing new signings to the club is his number one objective.

Wan-Bissaka is an extremely talented defender, one who seems to have lost his way at Old Trafford since signing from Crystal Palace in 2019, but a move to London could be exactly what he needs.

West Ham backtrack on Wan-Bissaka?

Julen Lopetegui’s side have the chance to secure his signature on a cut-price deal this summer, all thanks to a wild goose chase for Bayern’s outcast defender, who could now be heading to Manchester instead.

Despite making 190 appearances for the Red Devils, Wan-Bissaka has rarely returned to the same form he showed at Selhurst Park, with managers often under-utilising him in the squad.
