West Ham United transfer development emerges after Crysencio Summerville agent talks
West Ham have not yet made a formal bid for Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The news outlet reported on 22 July that the Hammers have held talks with the agent of the Dutchman over a potential transfer in this window.
The 22-year-old is understood to be one of many wingers on the London club’s list this summer.
West Ham must issue a formal bid for Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville
The Dutch attacker has been lauded for an “unbelievable” season in the Championship with Alan Hutton claiming he’s got what it takes to excel in the Premier League.
Hutton said: “He’s had an unbelievable season and he’s got everything it takes to make it in the Premier League, and a number of clubs will be monitoring his situation.”
For the Hammers, submitting a formal bid for Summerville could be a strategic move.
His pace and eye for goal would provide a much-needed boost to their attacking prowess.
Moreover, his age and potential for growth align well with the club’s long-term vision.
However, the Hammers must weigh the benefits against the financial outlay, ensuring that they don’t overspend in pursuit of their target.
That said, the 22-year-old Dutchman was the Championship’s Player of the Season, scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists across all competitions so Leeds may demand a little more than they normally would.

Summerville has also proven himself in the top flight so this signing is not as risky as some others from the second tier.
In other West Ham news, a £11.6million bid update has emerged as the Hammers aim to beat Brighton to seal a new transfer.
