West Ham United to pay Niclas Fullkrug £20m, want deal done today

Niclas Fullkrug is set to receive around £100,000 per week across his three-year West Ham United deal, according to Sean Whetstone.

The well-renowned Hammers writer shared the update via his West Ham Football account on X [5 August] ahead of the Borussia Dortmund striker’s move to London.

Fullkrug’s deal, which is worth £20million in total, is an initial three-year stint with an option for West Ham to extend if they desire to do so.

Former Real Betis man Guido Rodriguez is also set to confirm his Hammers switch on Monday (5 August), with the Argentina international earning around £40,000 per week.

Niclas Fullkrug could propel West Ham United up the Premier League

Although it’s been said many times before, the Hammers could finally solve their striker issue with the addition of Fullkrug.

The number nine is a proven goal-scorer and will no doubt increase West Ham’s chances of improving their Premier League standing this season.

There have been a plethora of strikers linked to the club, such as Jhon Duran, Tammy Abraham and Dominic Calvert-Lewin [Joe Thomas, 29 July].

However, it’s the German who has seemingly triumphed and managed to have his services acquired by Lopetegui.

Whilst his addition alone wouldn’t guarantee the Hammers a better chance in the Premier League, the fact that the likes of Crysencio Summerville and Max Kilman have also been added to bolster the Hammers’ squad showcases how serious the club are about their chase for European football this term.

After contributing to 20 goals for Dortmund in the Bundesliga last season, the German will likely want to improve his tally and showcase his value to Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
