West Ham United to monitor Ernest Muci with January transfer on the cards
West Ham United are to monitor Besiktas forward Ernest Muci and could make a move during the January transfer window, according to Aksam.
The Turkish outlet, who have a million followers on X, reported via their website (12 September) that the Hammers have started to “follow the player closely”.
The report also details that Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten are willing to spend around £12.6million to acquire the Albania international’s services.
Fellow Premier League side Aston Villa are also in the running for the attacker with a January move also being mooted.
The Hammers were linked with a move for the 23-year-old during the summer transfer window (Takvim) but a move did not materialise.
West Ham United would be smart to sign Ernest Muci
West Ham have already made a plethora of changes to their playing squad since the end of last season.
The club’s defence was arguably the weakest area of the squad Lopetegui inherited so it didn’t come as a surprise to see the likes of Max Kilman and Aaron Wan-Bissaka making a move to the London Stadium.
Lopetegui’s season likely hasn’t started as well as he would’ve liked but the fact that they’ve had a fairly tough start to their 2024/25 campaign needs to be taken into account.

It’s still early days in the season and many things could change but at this moment in time, it feels as if their attack could do with further strengthening.
Muci is a very versatile player who can play across the front three as well as in the number 10 role, his addition would add yet another goalscorer to their ranks and even more options on either flank.
Nothing is set in stone yet but it feels like this would be a move that makes a lot of sense for both parties.
