West Ham United to complete new transfer before Thursday with medical now done
West Ham United will announce the signing of Wes Foderingham in the next 48 hours, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports journalist reported via X (25 June) that the goalkeeper has completed his West Ham medical ahead of finalising his free transfer to the club.
Foderingham will sign a two-year contract at the London Stadium with a formal announcement expected before Thursday.
The 33-year-old will become a free agent once his deal with Sheffield United expires at the end of the month.
West Ham United set to announce the arrival of Wes Foderingham at the London Stadium
The Hammers have been incredibly busy at the beginning of this transfer window.
It has been a hectic start to Julen Lopetegui’s reign at the London Stadium, but the manager is sure to have no complaints.
He will be thrilled with how active his side have been in the market, with plenty of players around Europe linked with moves to the club.
And it isn’t as if the club aren’t getting deals across the line either.
Foderingham will be the Hammers’ second confirmed signing of the summer, and it represents an important bit of business.
While it is not a flashy signing such as Luis Guilherme, it is a signing which adds some much-needed squad depth.
Foderingham is an experienced goalkeeper and there are far worse players to have as your third-choice shot-stopper.
As a result, bringing him into the club for free could prove to be a shrewd move by the club.
In other West Ham news, the club have made a player-plus-cash offer to seal a new transfer.
