West Ham United to accept £100m+ Mohammed Kudus bid in January
West Ham United would accept an offer in excess of £100million in the January transfer window, according to Sean Whetstone.
The reliable Hammers outlet shared via his West Ham Football account on X [31 December] that the East London club are not looking to sell Kudus, who has been touted as a target for Liverpool.
However, Whetstone added that if an offer that is “too good to refuse” is tabled, somewhere in the nine-figure region, then United will feel they have little choice but to accept.
Should that happen, Julen Lopetegui – assuming he is still in charge – and Tim Steidten will be allowed to reinvest the money back into the squad.
Mohammed Kudus sale not ruled out at West Ham United
Kudus has been a major hit since arriving at the London Stadium in the summer of 2023 and he remains under contract until 2028.
That is why West Ham are under no immediate pressure to sell, although money does of course speak and £100m is a crazy amount.
As was the case with the Declan Rice to Arsenal money, on paper at least, that could be reinvested wisely across the squad.
However, with Jarrod Bowen now facing a spell on the sidelines, which only heightens the chances of Lopetegui losing his job, the Irons cannot afford to see Kudus depart.
Liverpool and Arsenal are two of the clubs to have been linked with the forward, and they could probably afford to purchase him in 2025.
But West Ham are thankfully not looking to sell, so unless the full £100m valuation is met in full, David Sullivan needs to walk away from any negotiations.
In other West Ham news, a player could be returning to the London Stadium in the coming weeks.
