West Ham United given thumbs up as Callum O’Hare, Jacob Greaves transfer news emerges

talkSPORT broadcaster Ian Abrahams says Callum O’Hare and Jacob Greaves would be two “brilliant signings” for West Ham.

The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg reported on Monday (29 April) that Coventry City’s O’Hare and Hull City’s Greaves are wanted by the Irons.

Neither player has any Premier League experience, but Abrahams likes the sound of both players arriving at London Stadium.

“Would [be] 2 brilliant signings,” Abrahams posted on his personal X account [30 April].

Who are West Ham United looking to sign?

West Ham may not know who the manager will be come the end of next month, but already certain names are being linked with a switch to the club.

That shows the importance of having people behind the scenes, such as Tim Steidten, who can operate regardless of who is at the helm.

While bringing in O’Hare and Greaves hardly sets the pulses racing, United have had plenty of success when it comes to these type of deals.

O’Hare has been linked with numerous other clubs, Rangers and Burnley among them, and will be available on a free transfer.

Greaves has also caught the eye in defence for Hull this season in the Championship, featuring at both centre-back and left-back.

If United can bring in a couple of hungry – and indeed talented – players such as these, while also spending big on at least one star name, that would make for an ideal summer transfer window.
