West Ham United target Pedro Goncalves could seal Napoli transfer after new update
West Ham United target Pedro Goncalves’ release clause has been revealed to be worth £68million amid links to Napoli, according to A Bola.
The report on 30 May shares that Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could lead the Serie A side to move for Sporting CP star Goncalves as a replacement.
West Ham and Aston Villa are reportedly among the sides who have been tracking him since last season – but they could now be set to miss out.
How good is West Ham United target Pedro Goncalves?
Goncalves is a versatile attacker, equally capable of playing on either wing or in midfield – and his numbers this season have been very impressive.
The 25-year-old racked up 18 goals and 17 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions, including 11 goals and 12 assists in 32 league outings. The latter figure was the joint-most of any player in the Portuguese top flight alongside Benfica forward Rafa.
Goncalves’ underlying league numbers evidence the sustainability of his production in front of goal. A non-penalty xG of 11.02 and 63 chances created are impressive figures indeed [FotMob].
The Portuguese star is a ferocious presser as well, winning possession in the final third 34 times in league competition this term.

Should Lucas Paqueta move on to Manchester City this summer, reinvesting the money into Goncalves would be an excellent way to ensure the Brazilian is not missed too much – assuming Napoli don’t get there first.
