West Ham United target Layvin Kurzawa to change agents, could leave Paris Saint-Germain

West Ham are circling for Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa, who is set to change agents ahead of a potential exit according to Foot Mercato.

The former France international featured just once for the Ligue 1 giants last season and has now been left out of the club’s pre-season Asia tour, as Christopher Galtier looks to shrink his squad down.

Now Kurzawa is set to switch agents once again because of that as he grows tired of his sporting situation, with the Hammers among the clubs interested in doing a deal.

Newcastle United, Inter Milan, Napoli and Lille are also linked with a potential move for the 29-year-old left-back who currently earns around £5m per year.

But with a contract that runs for another two years, he isn’t willing to leave at any cost and a transfer away isn’t guaranteed this summer.

Interesting move

West Ham are in the market for a left-back this summer, that much is known, but there doesn’t seem to be a preferred target currently.

Luca Pellegrini, Alex Grimaldo and Joakim Maehle have all been linked but this Kurzawa link has been around for a little while now and doesn’t seem to be going away.

West Ham

There is no smoke without fire, so clearly there is someone at the London Stadium pushing for a deal to be done, but it would certainly be a surprise to see him end up in east London at this point.

David Moyes has spent a long time building a squad with a certain character and attitude, and all signs point towards Kurzawa being the total opposite of that.

Add to the fact that he’d likely be an understudy for Aaron Cresswell initially anyway, he won’t be getting much more game time here and it would seemingly just be a waste of time for everyone.
