West Ham United submit £9.3m bid to sign Argentinean ace Valentin Carboni before 1 February
West Ham United have tabled a £9.3m bid to sign Inter Milan starlet Valentin Carboni before the February 1st transfer deadline, according to Calciomercato.
Writing on their website (26 January), the Italian news outlet report that the Hammers tabled an offer for the Argentine talent who is currently on loan at Monza.
But Inter want to keep the talented attacking midfielder and are said to want almost double that amount before considering any offer, leaving the Hammers without any success in their chase.
Interesting
West Ham were said to be in the transfer market this month for attacking reinforcements, and now it seems more likely that the club are going to be able to bringing in someone else instead.
Carboni is someone that has been very impressive in Serie A this season with Monza on loan, and it’s clear that Inter Milan have an eye on him as one for the future.
The Hammers would undoubtedly love to add him to the squad but with plenty of talent in the squad already it would have been difficult to get a genuine pathway for him.

There is plenty of competition in the squad now and Carboni would be a great addition with the way Tim Steidten wants to strengthen the squad and build the club going into the future.
Unfortunately though it doesn’t look it will be happening any time soon, never mind this month, but it’s one to keep an eye on in case anything changes in the coming transfer windows.
