West Ham United set to complete deal for Manchester City starlet

West Ham United are set to sign Manchester City attacker David Chigwada on a permanent deal, according to The Secret Scout.

Writing on their personal X account (27 June), the news outlet report that the Hammers are targeting the young attacker for their Under-18 squad due to his ability to play as a winger or in a more central position.

Chig previously played for Blackburn and the 16-year-old is now set to make the move to east London to compete for a clearer first-team pathway.

West Ham to seal exciting starlet transfer from Manchester City

Manchester City have been known for a while to have one of the best academy development structures in the game, and they always recruit the best talent too.

They clearly saw something in Chigwada to sign him at the age of 14, but he never really progressed in the way they hoped and now the Zimbabwe-born attacker is set to return to London.

West ham are always keen to find a way to improve their academy teams and they have been known to have a great path way to the first-team, so it makes sense that he would be keen to join.

Adding an exciting young talent to the club’s options gives the fans something to look out for in the coming seasons, and if he is good enough then they will know that they will get the chance to show it on the biggest stage.

It’s a coup of a signing for the Hammers and an exciting one for the future, and the club’s good relationship with Man City is coming in handy once again.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have agreed personal terms for a new first-team attacker transfer.
