West Ham United set for another transfer as Niclas Fullkrug update emerges
West Ham are set to complete the signing of Borussia Dortmund and Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug, according to Caught Offside.
The news outlet reported on 2 August that their sources claimed that the Hammers’ representatives have already met with the Bundesliga outfit for an opening £21.25million bid.
However, Dortmund are understood to want around £23million-£24million for the 31-year-old.
Niclas Fullkrug would be a decent addition to the West Ham side
Fullkrug is a proven goalscorer, having netted 16 goals and provided 10 assists for Borussia Dortmund last season.
His ability to find the back of the net consistently could greatly enhance the Hammers’ attack.
The German’s experience and leadership qualities would be valuable additions to the squad.
He captained Werder Bremen before joining Dortmund and has also represented Germany on the international stage, including at Euro 2024.
The 31-year-old can play as a central striker or in a deeper role, making him a flexible option for Julen Lopetegui.

This adaptability would allow the Hammers to use him in various tactical setups, depending on the opposition and the state of the game.
In other West Ham news, Arsenal and Newcastle have made late moves to hijack Spurs’ deal to secure the services of a Hammers player this summer.
