West Ham United seriously consider bid to sign Reiss Nelson as Arsenal exit decision made

Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson is open to a move this summer with West Ham United considering making a bid, according to GIVEMESPORT.

The outlet has reported (10 July) that the Hammers are looking to “lure” the Englishman to the London Stadium as he wants to stay in London if he leaves the Gunners.

The 24-year-old has been left frustrated by a lack of opportunities at the Emirates and is “open to completing a move” to the Hammers.

West Ham are said to be “seriously contemplating” whether to make a bid for Nelson and test Arsenal’s resolve this summer.

West Ham interested in Reiss Nelson

The Hammers have already completed the signing of one attacking-minded player after bringing in Luis Guilherme from Palmerias.

Tim Steidten has taken charge of transfers after the departure of David Moyes was confirmed and Julen Lopetegui came in as head coach.

It seems clear that the Spaniard is interested in refreshing his squad at the London Stadium with Max Kilman also signing from Wolves.

A wide forward appears to be desired by the Hammers after also being linked to Jaden Philogene from Hull City in recent weeks.

Nelson hasn’t been a regular fixture in the Arsenal starting XI at any point in his career at the Emirates which is why a move away makes sense.

The 24-year-old has plenty of technical ability and could benefit from some regular game time away from the Gunners moving forward.

A deal for the winger could depend on the fee that is demanded from Mikel Arteta’s side before West Ham decide to pounce.

In other West Ham news, another bid has been tabled for a Premier League striker.
