West Ham United seal two-year loan agreement for Carlos Soler in new twist
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler will join West Ham United on a two-year loan, according to Graeme Bailey.
The transfer journalist posted on X [30 August] to report that the Spaniard will join on a loan deal until 2026, with the move agreed.
Soler is set to become the Irons’ tenth signing of the transfer window as Tim Steidten helps revolutionise the squad at the London Stadium.
West Ham United in loan move for Carlos Soler
There has been an uncertainty during the final days of the window as to the nature of Soler’s move, once it became clear he was likely to join the Hammers.
Initially reported on Sky Sports as a season-long loan, it has now emerged that it will be a longer-term temporary switch, which is bound to benefit the East Londoners.
Soler boasts an impressive CV at some sizeable clubs, having made over 200 appearances for Valencia, 63 in two seasons for PSG and four goals in 14 caps for Spain to date.
It remains unlikely that any further business will crop up late in the window, and the confidence has always been there from the Hammers to complete the deal throughout deadline day.
This has resulted in the sanctioning of James Ward-Prowse’s imminent loan switch to Nottingham Forest.
In other West Ham news, Nayef Aguerd is looking to push through his deadline day exit.
