West Ham United scouts in action already as transfer on cards for Fluminense ace Jhon Arias
West Ham are one of seven clubs chasing Fluminense and Colombia midfielder Jhon Arias, according to TEAMtalk.
The publication reported on its website on Tuesday (31 October) that Hammers staff have watched the 26-year-old in action for his club and country.
TEAMtalk added that while he is contracted to Fluminense until 2026, Arias may be available in the January transfer window.

“His fine form has not gone unnoticed in Britain,” according to TEAMtalk. “Indeed, TEAMtalk has learned seven different clubs have watched Arias for Colombia as well as Fluminense.
“We understand Crystal Palace, West Ham, Burnley, Wolves, Leicester, Leeds and Scottish giants Rangers have all checked on Arias.”

Jan transfer battle?
Able to operate out wide and centrally, Arias has enjoyed a fine individual campaign with Fluminense, with the 26-year-old registering nine goals and 13 assists in 53 matches in all competitions.
His form has now seemingly caught the eye of several top clubs, with a battle set to commence for his signature in the January transfer window. As well as being a regular for Fluminense, the midfielder is heavily relied upon for his national team.
West Ham manager David Moyes has proved in recent times that he is not scared to spend big on improving his side, with the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse arriving for hefty fees in the summer.
All three were brought in to improve the midfield following the departure of club captain Declan Rice to Arsenal. But perhaps the Hammers feel they are still light in that area, with Arias potentially moving to the London Stadium in January.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to sign a £40million-plus sensation, with a January transfer on the cards.
