West Ham United scouts impressed by Thijs Dallinga as new Toulouse transfer update emerges
West Ham United have identified Thijs Dallinga as a potential option ahead of the summer transfer window, according to GiveMeSport.
The outlet reported on its website on Wednesday (10 April) that the Hammers have identified the Toulouse forward as a potential forward option this summer, alongside a number of other Premier League clubs.
Dallinga has impressed Hammers scouts who have been monitoring the French top-flight ahead of the transfer window, cropping up in enough scouting reports to come under early consideration as a potential recruitment option.
Will West Ham United sign a new striker in the summer transfer window?
West Ham have recruited well from France in the past, with the likes of Nayef Aguerd, Lucas Paqeuta and Emerson all spending periods of their playing career across the English channel before making the move to East London.
A new centre-forward has to be near the top of the Hammers shopping list this summer as they have needed a number nine to replace Michail Antonio and shoulder the burden with Jarrod Bowen for a number of seasons now.

While most supporters would like to see David Moyes splash the cash to secure a striker who is proven in the Premier League, Dallinga has impressed in Ligue 1 this term, scoring 11 goals and picking up two assists in 27 games.
At 23 years old, the Dutchman would fit the Hammers’ model of buying young players ready to help them improve and develop at the London Stadium and he could potentially have a reasonable sell-on value.
Whether the Irons will decide to act upon their interest remains to be seen, but it is clear West Ham want to address their striker problem at the end of the season.
