West Ham United scout Armando Broja as ‘vulnerable’ situation emerges at Chelsea

Paul Brown has reported that West Ham have scouted Chelsea forward Armando Broja extensively after previously enquiring about signing him.

Speaking to GiveMeSport on Monday (1 December), the former Daily Star journalist said the 22-year-old Albanian international is in an “interesting position” after he hasn’t played much this season at Stamford Bridge.

He added that there are several Blues players in a “vulnerable” position that the West London club would listen to offers for as they will have to move some players on in January to balance the books following their summer spending spree.

West Ham

“West Ham certainly like Broja, they’ve scouted him extensively and enquired about him in the past,” said Brown. “He’s in an interesting position because he hasn’t been able to play too much this season.

“Nkunku is now also coming back and Chelsea are still in the market for a striker so those two things don’t make things look good for Broja’s future.

“I think there are a lot of players vulnerable at Chelsea and who they’d listen to offers for because they know they’re going to have to bring some money in having spent so much money on signings already.”

Opportunity

This transfer window could be the best opportunity for West Ham to sign Broja as Chelsea will almost certainly have to move on some players this month.

David Moyes is believed to be a fan of the forward after sending scouts to watch him and previously making enquiries about his availability.

The Blues’ situation could mean he’s available on a cut-price deal during this window and you would think he’d be pretty keen on a move given his lack of opportunities at Stamford Bridge.

West Ham

The Albanian has made just five starts in West London this season and his opportunities are surely set to decrease following Christopher Nkunku’s recent return from injury.

If it does emerge that he is available for a transfer, though, then we have to act quickly as there are likely to be several suitors interested in signing him.
