West Ham United schedule new round of Fullkrug talks with one deal almost done

West Ham United have scheduled a new round of talks with Borussia Dortmund over the transfer of Niklas Fullkrug, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The journalist took to X on Wednesday (31 July) to share the update, which added that the deal is likely to advance following the conversations.

Fullkrug would become the next attacking player snapped up by the Hammers, following the reports that Julen Lopetegui’s side is set to announce the arrival Crysencio Summerville very soon [Fabrizio Romano, July 31].

Romano wrote: “West Ham and Borussia Dortmund have new round of talks scheduled to advance on Niklas Füllkrug deal.

“Füllkrug, keen on joining West Ham and deal depends on the clubs — Hammers trying to advance after Summerville deal.”

West Ham set to bring in plenty of fire-power

The Hammers are set to bring in plenty of fire-power to the London Stadium ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. Summerville from Leeds United is set to be announced soon, and talks over Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund are ongoing.

Summerville had a great season with 21 goals and 10 assists, bringing speed and creativity to the team. Fullkrug, although 31, is a proven striker with a good scoring record.

With these new players, the Hammers’ attack will be much stronger. Michail Antonio and Danny Ings are not at their best anymore, so adding Summerville and Fullkrug gives the team new options.

Summerville brings youthful energy, while Fullkrug offers experience. Together, they will help the Hammers become a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League.
