West Ham United ready to sell Said Benrahma to fund transfer for Chelsea striker Armando Broja
West Ham are prepared to cash in on Said Benrahma this summer in order to fund a double swoop for Jesse Lingard and Armando Broja, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported on their website on 8 June that Benrahma, 26, has failed to prove to David Moyes that he can be a consistent performer in his attack, leading to the Hammers manager to look into alternative options.
It is understood that West Ham will want to recoup the £30million paid to Brentford for the Algeria international and they want to avoid selling him “on the cheap”.

The Daily Mail claims that Benrahma’s sale could help pay to re-sign Lingard, 29, on a free transfer following his release from Manchester United while the funding would also help the Irons strike a deal for Chelsea forward Broja after the 20-year-old impressed on loan at Southampton in the 2021/22 season.
One out, two in
We’re all for this.
Although Benrahma showed in spells that he can light up the London Stadium, it’s so frustrating that he spends more matches doing absolutely nothing of note.
That’s the issue with him because if he didn’t have his long spells of poor form, we’d definitely be annoyed by Moyes’ decision to cash in on the ex-Brentford star.
But if we have to sell him in order to re-sign Lingard – a replacement who’s proven he can be consistently good for the Hammers previously – and a striker in Broja, we’re all for it.

Broja had a good season at Southampton.
The 20-year-old Albania international scored nine goals in 38 appearances across all competitions while six of his goals came in the Premier League, where he made 21 starts.
He’s a big, powerful striker who’s only going to keep improving and playing with Michail Antonio is only going to help him improve.
Broja could also benefit massively from West Ham having good set-piece takers and good crossers of the ball as he’s very good in the air.
Broja scored against us in the FA Cup in 2021/22. Let’s hope he’s scoring for us in 2022/23.
In other West Ham news, a deal is on the cards to sign a forward who Moyes once compared to Wayne Rooney.
