West Ham United ready to listen to offers for late Aguerd and Cornet exits – Sky Sports
Nayef Aguerd and Maxwel Cornet could leave West Ham United this week, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
Writing via his personal X account on Monday (26 August), the Sky Sports News journalist reported that they are two players “to keep an eye on this week” with the transfer window due to shut at 11pm on Friday (30 August).
Sheth added that Kurt Zouma remains in Dubai after failing a medical with UAE side Shabab Al-Ahli. It is understood that clubs in Saudi Arabia are keen on him but their transfer window doesn’t shut until 6 October.
“West Ham United listening to offers for a few players. Kurt Zouma still in Dubai. Saudi interest – their window closes on 6 October,” said Sheth.
“Maxwel Cornet and Nayef Aguerd are two other players to keep an eye on this week. Neither have been part of the matchday squads this season.”

It’s been a busy summer for West Ham.
David Moyes was replaced by Julen Lopetegui while Tim Steidten went out and made some seriously good additions to the Spaniard’s newly-inherited squad.
Despite an opening day defeat to Aston Villa, the mood has been good in East London and that win over Crystal Palace on Saturday suggests that this could be a good campaign for the Hammers.
But after spending so much on players like Luis Guilherme and Crysencio Summerville, the Irons have to make some money back.
Cornet, 27, and Aguerd, 28, haven’t been in either of Lopetegui’s matchday squads this season so it would make sense to get rid of them.
Since joining from Burnley in August 2022, Cornet has played just 37 times in all competitions for the club. It’s a no-brainer to sell him but it might be tricky to get someone to pay up for a player who’s had injury problems and not been in the best of form since prior to that move to London.
Aguerd should be easier to offload because he was a regular for Moyes. However, he could be someone who has to go on the cheap to offset what could be high wages for a buying club.
