West Ham United ready bid for Ferdi Kadioglu in double new transfer

West Ham United are preparing a £22million bid for Fenerbache defender Ferdi Kadioglu while also closing in on Fabricio Bruno this summer, according to TEAMtalk.

The outlet has reported (23 May) that the Hammers are prepared to launch a move for the Turkey international with Julen Lopetegui approving the deal.

Kadioglu’s form this season has also sparked interest from Mikel Arteta and Arsenal although West Ham remain in pole position.

Lopetegui is said to have eyed the defender while at Wolves and now looks set to move quickly to sign him at the London Stadium.

Alongside Bruno, Kadioglu could already be the Spaniard’s second signing in a short spell in charge.

Should West Ham sign Ferdi Kadioglu?

The Turkish international has the capability to play as both a left back and a right back which will make him a useful option.

His primary position is on the left which Emerson and Aaron Cresswell may already occupy ahead of the next campaign under the Spanish head coach.

This season, Kadioglu has featured across 36 games in the Super Lig where he has scored one and assisted an additional four [FotMob].

He has many key qualities which could make him well-suited to the Premier League should he sign.

His defensive ability is great but going forward his dribbling, crossing and short passing make him a useful asset.

Signing a striker is one of Julen Lopetegui’s main priorities at West Ham this summer

Kadioglu would most likely want assurances that he would be a regular starter to move away from a club in the Champions League.

Given that Lopetegui has now been desperate to sign the full-back at two different clubs, he is likely to make him a consistent option.
