West Ham United ramp up Youssef En-Nesyri transfer chase as next step shared

West Ham United are expected to ramp up their interest in Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri over the next week, according to Give Me Sport.

The news outlet reported online (16 June) that Julen Lopetegui is “on board” with the transfer as a result of his pre-existing relationship with the striker.

The Hammers plan to find out whether En-Nesyri is interested in a move to London Stadium and whether or not Sevilla are interested in selling him.

Should they get the answers they desire, Lopetegui’s side will look to move quickly for the 27-year-old before any other interested parties submit an offer to Sevilla.

Will West Ham United sign Youssef En-Nesyri to play under Julen Lopetegui?

This is a player who Lopetegui knows very well, which could help West Ham convince En-Nesyri to make the switch to London Stadium.

Lopetegui managed the Morocco international while in charge of Sevilla previously.

He is well aware of En-Nesyri’s quality and it is therefore no surprise that he has given the potential signing his thumbs up.

Should En-Nesyri complete a move to East London, the club might finally have a long-term solution for their issues upfront.

Strikers have come and gone in recent times at West Ham, but none have been able to get it right with the club.

En-Nesyri could change that pattern. The striker scored 16 goals and provided two assists in 33 La Liga appearances last season.

Youssef En-Nesyri has been linked with West Ham and Tottenham.

He is a player with a European pedigree and international experience and could prove to be exactly what is needed for Lopetegui to succeed in his first season with the Hammers.
