West Ham United player attracting interest from abroad as summer transfer exit looms
West Ham United have received offers from the Danish league for Nathan Trott after a great season on loan with Vejle Boldklub, according to PL Bold.
The Danish outlet has reported (27 May) that FC Copenhagen, Brondby and AGF are interested in signing the Hammers loanee.
The Bermudan has spent this season on loan in the Superliga where he has been “one of the league’s best goalkeepers”.
This has sparked interest from the bigger sides in Denmark, who have reportedly placed bids for the goalkeeper ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report adds that Trott only recently signed a new contract at London Stadium that runs until the summer of 2026.
West Ham United goalkeeper situation
Trott has risen through every level of the West Ham Academy set-up, which has seen him make 65 appearances in five years.
He has played just once for the Hammers’ first team but may be hopeful of changing that next season.
The keeper has made three loan spells away from the club with Wimbledon, Nancy and most recently Velje Boldklub in Denmark.
Now there is plenty of interest from the Superliga and he could become a number one for a title challenger next season.
With that being said, there could be an opportunity for the Bermudan to become a squad option under Julen Lopetegui in his first campaign.
Alphonse Areola is the number one and has had a positive season, but with Lukasz Fabianski only getting older he may need replacing.

There is also a call for Joseph Anang to step up and become the number two or a new signing could be preferred by the Spanish head coach.
