West Ham United now submit bid to sign N’Golo Kante – Fabrizio Romano
West Ham United have submitted a bid to sign N’Golo Kante from Al Ittihad, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer specialist reported to Instagram on 19 July that the Hammers “really want” the French international and have made a formal approach.
However, the Saudi Arabian side have “no intention to let him leave” with a deal set to be difficult but the Irons “have tried”.
West Ham want N’Golo Kante
West Ham are showing a genuine interest in the 33-year-old who was on top form for France at the EUROs over the summer.
A move to the Saudi Pro League had seemingly waved away any chance of playing in Europe again but a return could now be on the cards.
A year in the Middle East may have fans believe Kante isn’t at the Premier League level anymore, his performances for France showed that this wasn’t the case.
With Julen Lopetegui taking over as Hammers’ head coach, the Spaniard is looking to make his mark on his new squad in the transfer market.

It would certainly be a huge coup and sign of intent from Tim Steidten and Co. if they were able to bring in the two-time Premier League winner.
Even if Al Ittihad don’t want to sell the defensive midfielder, a return to England with an ambitious side may be hard to turn down.
In other West Ham news, a youngster at the club is wanted by Man City.
