West Ham United now favourites to sign Tosin Adarabioyo as Fulham contract development emerges

West Ham are now favourites to sign Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo this summer, according to Daily Mirror.

The newspaper shared in its print edition (8 February, page 52) that the Hammers have emerged as the favourites to sign him after reports in Italy shared that AC Milan and Tottenham were also in the race.

The 26-year-old, who scored in Fulham’s 5-0 win against the East Londoners in December, is said to be refusing to sign a new deal to extend his stay at Craven Cottage with his latest deal running till June which means clubs can open talks to seal his services ahead of a move this summer.

However, Milan and Spurs are still keen on signing him with an exit expected at the end of the season.

Tim Steidten must move fast to seal signature at London Stadium

The West Ham defence will need a major rejig in the summer with several of Moyes’ key stars facing uncertain futures at the club when the season draws to a close.

Angelo Ogbonna and Nayef Aguerd could yet leave the club this summer which means the Hammers must be identifying potential targets right now and Adarabioyo has emerged as an astute and potentially cost-effective option.

With the 26-year-old defender now surely set to leave Fulham with his contract ending, West Ham can look to seal his signature right now and given the teams interested in the player’s services, technical director Tim Steidten and David Moyes must make their move now.

The Fulham defender has exerted tremendous qualities that are sure to have a number of Europe’s elite clamouring for his signature.

Despite his limited minutes under Marco Silva this season, he’s mightily impressed when given the opportunity. In their recent EFL Cup semi-final defeat to Liverpool, Adarabioyo was at his brilliant best up against Darwin Nunez and co.

Adarabioyo certainly knows how to mix it with the best teams on the land and he certainly won’t be out of place were he to make the move to East London. He is a no-brainer addition to Moyes’ squad this summer.
