Rio Ferdinand makes Mohammed Kudus transfer prediction at West Ham United
Rio Ferdinand says the only way Mohammed Kudus will depart West Ham is if “big money” in the region of £75million is offered.
Kudus has impressed since arriving from Ajax in a £38million deal in August, scoring 10 goals in all competitions for the Irons.
Speaking on the Vibe with Five podcast [8 January, 56m 40s] host Joel Beya suggested the Ghana international will be gone within 12 months.
In response, Ferdinand said: “Not yet. It’ll take big money to take him out of there – £75m.”
Remarkable
Even if a bid of £75m was tabled for Kudus in this window, the summer or at any point in 2025, West Ham would have no reason to cash in.
The Irons were happy to spend a fairly sizable sum on the versatile forward in the summer and that has paid off massively.
Quite how United were able to sign Kudus, who starred in Eredivisie with Ajax last season, pretty much unopposed is remarkable.

Brighton and Hove Albion were also in for him, but there seemed to be no concrete interest from any of the division’s elite clubs.
If a side like Manchester United, say, now wish to sign Kudus, they would be looking at paying more than £100m.
Quite where host Beya thinks Kudus could possibly end up is anyone’s guess. The 23-year-old is already a fan favourite and long may that continue.
