West Ham United move to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United mooted by Telegraph journalist
Jason Burt has mooted a West Ham move for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho in the January transfer window.
Writing on The Telegraph website on Monday (1 January), the journalist questioned whether the Hammers could try and sign the 23-year-old winger as David Moyes looks to add to his attacking options.
The England international hasn’t kicked a ball since his public fallout with Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag back in early September, having been banished from first-team training.

Difficult
There are so many reasons why this would be an extremely difficult deal for West Ham to try and pull off this month due to Sancho’s situation.
The winger is on an awful lot of money at Man United following his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, with the Hammers unlikely to meet his wage demands.
The Red Devils also proved in their previous dealings with the Irons that they are an extremely difficult club to do business with after Harry Maguire’s switch fell through last summer.

Whether the Englishman would want to remain in the Premier League is unknown, too, as Dortmund are believed to be interested in taking him back to Germany this month.
It just feels like this is a transfer that would be far too tricky to pull off, so we’re best looking at other attacking players who would be easier to bring in quickly.
In other West Ham news, a Premier League manager has made a decision on a player the Hammers want to sign.
