West Ham United ‘make proposal’ for Josh Brownhill as bargain transfer ready

Graham Potter may be set for a massive transfer window at West Ham United, with preparations for Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill already being made.

The English manager has endured a demanding spell at the Hammers since returning to management after replacing Julen Lopetegui.

Potter’s team are 17th in the Premier League with five games left to go, showcasing the struggles the Irons have faced in the current campaign.

The London Stadium faithful aren’t pleased with David Sullivan, and the hierarchy could potentially be willing to sanction a squad overhaul soon.

It’s been claimed that the Irons want to sign the 29-year-old Englishman as a free agent in the coming months, having long admired him.

The Irons are prepared to make a good proposal to Brownhill after he played a key role in helping Burnley secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.

London Stadium will want immediate change from Potter

Sillivan has significant decisions to make at the London Stadium in the coming months, with the futures of several players uncertain.

The Hammers made a significant investment in their squad last summer, but apart from Aaron Wan-Bissaka, none of the new signings have lived up to expectations.

Potter doesn’t seem to trust Jean-Clair Todibo, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the French defender leave next summer.

West Ham fans had hoped to challenge for a European berth in the Premier League at the start of the season, but things haven’t gone to plan.

Lopetegui failed to bring the best out of the squad and was sacked midway through the campaign, and the former Chelsea boss’ arrival was supposed to be the turning point for the Hammers.

Potter hasn’t had the best of times at the London Stadium, with the Irons’ results not improving in recent months.

The English manager should be given a chance after Sullivan hopefully undertakes a squad overhaul in the coming months, but if results don’t improve at the start of next season, a new manager may be needed.
