West Ham United make player-plus-cash offer to seal Max Kilman transfer

West Ham United are still pushing to sign Wolves defender Max Kilman, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Itallian journalist reported via X (25 June) that the Hammers are expected to send a new proposal soon.

Julen Lopetegui’s side saw a second proposal, which included a player, turned down by Wolves.

Talks are continuing between the two clubs with Lopetegui keen on getting a deal done.

Will West Ham United sign centre-back Max Kilman from Wolves?

It seems that the club are doing everything they can to try and sign Kilman from Wolves.

Lopetegui is clearly keen on the player and the Hammers would therefore be wise to get this transfer across the line.

After missing out on Fabricio Bruno their new boss wouldn’t have been happy, and the club won’t want to miss out on too many more of his targets.

If they want Lopetegui’s reign at the London Stadium to be a success then they need to get off on the right foot.

Bringing in players that the manager wants as he looks to rebuild the team would be a good start.

In addition, not only is the signing of Kilman important to appease Lopetegui, but the Hammers are also in desperate need of defensive reinforcements.

They were all over the place at the back last season, and Kilman is a player who could come in and help to steady the ship.

In other West Ham news, the club are set to announce a new transfer within days.
