West Ham United make approach to sign ex-Chelsea forward Samuel Iling-Junior
West Ham United asked Juventus about a deal for attacker Samuel Iling-Junior, according to 90min’s Graeme Bailey.
The journalist reported via his personal Twitter account on Friday (1 September) that the Hammers also saw a bid rejected for his Juventus teammate Filip Kostic.
Iling-Junior, who moved to the Italian side from Premier League club Chelsea in 2020, has made two Serie A appearances this season.
“West Ham working on a few things today if they can, but they are pretty happy with business so far,” Bailey wrote on Twitter.
“A winger is something they would like but initial offer for Juventus’ Filip Kostic turned down whilst they also asked about Samuel Iling-Junior.”

New attacker needed?
West Ham have had a very interesting transfer window to say the least, with fans going through a roller-coaster from the very first day.
It all began with the loss of talisman Declan Rice, but his £105million sale brought funds to the London Stadium, with the Hammers soon replacing their former captain.
The midfield has been reinforced with the arrivals of Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse, with Konstantinos Mavropanos bolstering the back line.
Mohammed Kudus meanwhile has joined from Ajax to strengthen their attack, but it seems that they are perhaps still a player light in this area.
The East London club have been superb going forward in these early stages of the new season, but their squad strength will soon be put to the test when they get their Europa League campaign underway.
Fans may be somewhat satisfied with their options at this moment in time, but no West Ham supporter would say no to another new attacker.
In other West Ham news, David Moyes has shared a Hammers transfer update as the deadline approaches.
