West Ham United loan flop Kalvin Phillips in line for Fulham transfer redemption
Fulham could sign former West Ham United loanee Kalvin Phillips if they are to lose Joao Palhinha this summer, according to GIVEMESPORT.
The Cottagers are looking to sign a new defensive midfielder this summer, with the Portuguese set to join Bayern Munich during the transfer window.
This has seen United’s London rivals be linked to Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Phillips, who spent half of last season at London Stadium.
Fulham are considering a loan deal for the Englishman from Manchester City with a return to West Ham seemingly off the table.
Fulham make move for former West Ham United loanee Kalvin Phillips
It is safe to say that the former Leeds United star never enjoyed his spell with the Hammers, where he struggled from start to finish and even saw the fans turn against him.
He gave away a penalty on his debut in a 4-3 loss away to Newcastle United which was a sign of things to come in the end.
David Moyes’ side then went on to concede 11 goals in their next four games with Phillips being sent off against Nottingham Forest in a 2-0 loss.
After this, he featured just six times while being an unused substitute in four games to end the season.
This loan spell was supposed to be the move that reignited his career and got him back on the right path after an ill-fated move to Man City.

A move to Fulham for a full season may prove to be beneficial as he would be able to demand more regular game time, especially if Palhinha leaves.
