West Ham United learn price for AC Milan ace Alexis Saelemaekers as bids expected next week
AC Milan have set an asking price of £16.8million for West Ham-linked attacker Alexis Saelemakers, according to Calcio Mercato.
The Italian outlet reported on 20 July that the Hammers are one of the most likely destinations for the Belgium international winger.
Other clubs such as Leicester City, Nottingham Forest, and Ipswich Town are all also said to be in the running for the 25-year-old.
The report also adds that offers for the Rossoneri man – who spent last season on loan at Bologna – could arrive at the beginning of next week.
West Ham United should try and sign Alexis Saelemaekers this summer
Julen Lopetegui will likely dip into the transfer market this summer and try to bring in another option on either flank.
Especially since most of the players linked with a move to West Ham this summer have been stars such as Matias Soule [Giovanni Albanese, 16 July] and Steven Bergwijn.
The Hammers have already brought in Luis Guilherme this summer in order to take some pressure off of the likes of Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen.
Although the Brazilian will no doubt help alleviate some of the pressure, the London-based club could do with another addition to their ranks.

Saelemaekers has played 140 times in all competitions for AC Milan but spent last term on loan at Bologna.
He was commonly deployed on the left wing and played 32 times across all competitions for the Serie A side.
During those games, he contributed to seven goals, which is more than what both Michail Antonio and Danny Ings managed last term – albeit the former had injury issues and the latter was scarcely used.
As the winger is just 25 years old and would only cost £16.8m, it feels as if a move would be a no-brainer for the Hammers.
