West Ham United learn price as Sevilla open to offers for Juanlu Sanchez

West Ham are in a battle with Arsenal and Liverpool to secure the services of Sevilla right winger Juanlu Sanchez, according to Caught Offside.

The news outlet reported on 29 September that Liverpool want to sign the 21-year-old as he’s capable of playing at right-back and is viewed as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Sevilla are willing to consider offers for the 21-year-old who is valued at £20.8million.

West Ham may find it hard to beat Arsenal and Liverpool to sign Juanlu Sanchez

Interest from clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal, both eyeing his versatility and potential, makes things harder for the Hammers to sign him, who seem to have begun plans for January.

The primary obstacle lies in Sevilla’s valuation and contract situation and the Hammers may not even want another winger having signed Crysencio Summerville who turned down three Premier League sides.

With his deal expiring in 2026, the La Liga outfit might demand a substantial fee before he enters the final year of his deal.

West Ham could leverage their appeal by offering regular first-team football, showcasing their project under manager Julen Lopetegui and highlighting their ambition in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old is unlikely to get regular game time at the three aforementioned clubs in comparison to the Hammers.

However, given how the London Stadium outfit have started the campaign, they need to focus on getting their system right rather than personnel.

In other West Ham news, a senior contact close to the owners has issued an FFP claim after a recent £43million development.
