West Ham United: Jesse Lingard wants future decided by next week with PL stay his preference

West Ham United target Jesse Lingard wants a new club “no later than Friday” with remaining in the Premier League his “preference” according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

It had been reported by 90min on 28 June that David Moyes was “pushing hard” to bring the 29-year-old back to the London Stadium.

However, it has been suggested by Ornstein on Friday 15 July that Lingard is considering a move to Saudi Arabia which would see him earn £10million a year.

It seems that the free agent’s transfer saga is coming to an end with the former Manchester United man keen to have a new club by Friday (28 July).

Money money money

West Ham have stayed strong throughout the whole summer in regards to Lingard’s outrageous wage demands and they must stay strong now.

The 29-year-old clearly prefers a move to the London Stadium but ultimately the attacking midfielder believes that he is deserving of wages in the region of £150,000 per week.

If he feels he is a £150,000 a week player then so be it, let him go to Saudi Arabia and ruin his reputation across the football world.

He hasn’t done himself many favours with any Premier League club that he ends up signing for in all honesty.

West Ham fans would hardly be welcoming to a player that is trying to unbalance the Hammers wage structure and sap every last penny out of the club because of one good half a season he had on loan.

Lingard has shown his true colours throughout the whole summer and Moyes would be far better off turning his attention elsewhere.

The 29-year-old is not the be-all and end-all that is for sure.
