West Ham United in the hunt for ‘outstanding’ Adrien Tameze, he could be available for £8.7m

West Ham have shown “strong interest” in signing Adrien Tameze from Torino, according to Tutto Atalanta.

The Italian news outlet reported on its website on Thursday (23 November) that the versatile French midfielder, who can also play at right-back, could be available for £8.7million despite only joining the Serie A side in the summer.

It added that the 29-year-old’s “outstanding” performances for the Turin-based club have caught the attention of the Hammers as well fellow Premier League sides Brighton and Fulham.

Depth

It does seem a little bit unlikely that Tameze will be pushing for a move away from Torino already after only joining the club from relegated Hellas Verona over the summer.

But a transfer fee of almost £9million would mark a decent profit for the Italian side after they signed him for £2.4million just a few months ago.

There is no doubt that West Ham could do with a little bit more depth in a couple of positions and his versatility would provide a big help on that front.

West Ham

The Hammers are probably short of a midfielder, while David Moyes has been continuously linked with bringing in another right-back despite Vladimir Coufal’s solid performances this season.

The relatively low transfer fee makes any potential deal less of a risk and the fact Brighton are reportedly interested in signing him is an indicator that he is a player worth tracking following their excellent recruitment in recent years.
