West Ham United in talks with Sevilla over £35m transfer for Youssef En-Nesyri
West Ham have again entered talks with Sevilla over a potential deal for long-term striker target Youssef En-Nesyri, who is valued at £35million, according to Toby Cudworth.
The 90min journalist shared via a report on 21 August, that talks are underway with the Europa League Champions over a potential deal, with the Hammers having the cash to pay his £35million asking price, with agents negotiating a bid.
The Hammers are looking to bring in attacking reinforcements after letting Gianluca Scamacca return to Italy with Atalanta, with Danny Ings and Michail Antonio the only senior options available to David Moyes.
Revisiting deals after others fall through
It appears that after seemingly missing out on one key target in Rennes winger Jeremy Doku, who now looks set to join Manchester City [Fabrizio Romano, 21 August], West Ham have returned to one of their previous options in an effort to get a deal over the line.
The Hammers have missed out on a number of their first-choice options this summer, leading the club to explore other avenues, which Moyes has admitted he is not fond of doing.
The Sevilla striker scored 18 goals in all competitions last season and was a part of the Morocco side that stunned everybody as they reached the World Cup semi-finals, losing to eventual finalists France.

A potential fee of £35million being suggested seems relatively steep for West Ham, although the club have shown a willingness to spend on attacking talent after securing around £25million from Scamacca’s exit, with big-money bids lodges for Doku and Mohammed Kudus.
In other West Ham news, the club have received a response to their bid for a £47million player.
