West Ham United in race to sign Joaquin Correa as Inter Milan exit news emerges
West Ham are one of two Premier League clubs interested in signing Joaquin Correa according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian news outlet reported online (20 June) that Correa’s time at Inter Milan is coming to a close with the player preferring a switch to the Premier League or La Liga.
West Ham and Everton have both reportedly had contact over a potential transfer in recent weeks.

Interlive reported on 17 April that Correa could be available for as little as £13million during this summer transfer window, just two years after he arrived at the club from Lazio for a fee just shy of £30million. This would represent a huge financial loss for the Italian side.
During his time at the San Siro, Correa has played 77 times for Inter and scored 10 goals as well as providing five assists.
Risky
It is fair to say that Correa hasn’t exactly set the world alight since his move to Inter.
The forward arrived with high expectations but the 28-year-old, who will turn 29 just a few days after the Premier League season starts, has struggled to make a real impact in Milan.
A move away from the club could be exactly what Correa needs to rediscover his Lazio form. He scored on 30 occasions and provided 18 assists during his time with the club and there is no doubt from his time there that the player has real quality.

He has been capped 19 times by Argentina and scored four times on the international stage. Correa can play anywhere across the front line and could perhaps offer some real directness and competition to the West Ham attack.
Although it hasn’t worked for him at Inter, his time at Lazio and reported cost of just £13million suggests this could be a risk worth taking for the Hammers.
