West Ham United in hunt to secure deal for Club Brugge winger Noa Lang in January

West Ham are in the hunt to sign Club Brugge winger Noa Lang in the January transfer window, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper reported on their printed edition on 16 November that the Hammers have also joined Leeds and AC Milan in the race to sign the 23-year-old winger.

Fabrizio Romano said to Caughtoffside on 14 November that the player could be available in the market in January, but Club Brugge are expected to demand a high transfer fee.

Blockbuster transfer Unlikely

Romano said that Lang has every chance to leave the club in January, but it will take a fee of around £26.2-30.6million to prise him away. It will be a blockbuster transfer, if they can secure a deal for him.

The Hammers probably need to add more depth to their forward line this January after a poor start to the season.

West Ham are close to the relegation zone at the moment despite spending over £150m in the summer to bring in new players.

David Moyes is struggling to get the best out of his players, and there is a lack of creativity in the side. Lang has the ability to score goals and create opportunities for others, and he would be a cracking addition to the side.

In 2020-21, he joined Brugge on loan, where he scored 17 goals in all competitions. Last season, he managed nine goals and this season, he has scored four goals so far. The Netherlands international has managed two assists as well in the league.

Claret and Huge reported on 8 November that Moyes won’t be getting huge funds for transfer, if at all unless the club sell some of their players. In that case, it looks really difficult for the Hammers to sign Lang.
