West Ham United in contact with Evanilson agents as transfer update emerges
West Ham have been in contact with the agents of FC Porto star Evanilson alongside a handful of other Premier League teams, according to HITC.
The online source reported [13 August] that his agents have also made contact with Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle and Arsenal about a move this summer.
It is understood, however, that only Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have formalised their interest in the 24-year-old Brazilian, who scored 25 goals in all competitions for Porto last season.
West Ham United to formalise interest in Evanilson?
While the Hammers’ attacking line is now stacked to the rafters, with Crysencio Summerville, Luis Guilherme and Niclas Fullkrug added, it could be difficult to turn down a deal for Evanilson.
The 24-year-old has been a revelation in Portugal, notching 60 goals and 21 assists in 154 appearances since arriving at the European club in 2020, but he could be ready for a new challenge.
With Fullkrug being signed in a £27million deal from Borussia Dortmund [BBC Sport], Evanilson would unlikely be targeted as a starting player for Julen Lopetegui.
However, Michail Antonio and Danny Ings are currently the two backup options for the Hammers heading into the new Premier League campaign, neither of whom have convinced the fan base recently.
Antonio will forever be remembered as a hero, having notched the most Premier League goals in the club’s history, but his recent injury concerns could be a huge blow to his future.

Ings, on the other hand, has experienced a decent pre-season after being left in the dark by David Moyes last season. However, with four goals and 52 appearances, the 32-year-old looks to be an inferior option to Evanilson.
If the Irons want to sign the Brazilian talent this summer, they will need to hurry up their interest in the player, with several other teams seemingly keeping tabs on the situation.
