West Ham United in advanced talks with two clubs to sell Luizao in last-gasp deal
West Ham United are in advanced talks with two European clubs to sell Luizao ahead of the August 30 transfer deadline, according to Bruno Andrade.
The UOL Esporte journalist reported via X on Wednesday (28 August) that the Irons are holding discussions with clubs in Belgium and France during the final days of the summer transfer window.
Brazilian side Corinthians had been interested in securing Luizao’s signature, but they have not spoken to the defender in the last six days and they are yet to make a counter-offer to the Hammers at this stage.

Julen Lopetegui is undertaking sonneting of a revolution at the London Stadium this summer, particularly in defence where he has completely revamped the backline left in East London by David Moyes last season.
The likes of Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo have arrived to bolster the former Real Madrid boss’ ranks, while Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd both seem to be surplus to requirements and may now leave this summer.
Although Luizao is not really a part of the Irons’ first-team squad, he could be the next player to fall victim to this defensive reshuffle as it appears more likely than not that he will leave before September rolls around.
At 22, the defender simply has to be playing first-team football on a regular basis.
He isn’t a young prospect anymore and the Irons will be gaining very little from having him waiting in the wings and playing youth football.
With talks advanced between West Ham and the two interested European clubs, it shouldn’t be too long before a transfer of some sort is agreed by all parties so that the Brazilian can finally kick on in his career.
Although any fee earned is unlikely to be life-changing for the Hammers, it will help their financial fair play position to get another wage off of the books and another transfer fee through the door.
