West Ham United in advanced talks to sign Luis Guilherme as Brazilian forward signals intention
West Ham United are in advanced talks to sign Luis Guilherme from Palmerias with an offer being discussed, according to UOL.
Hammers officials were in Brazil and tabled an offer of £25.5 million plus additional bonuses to the Brazilian side for the youngsters.
Talks are ongoing with negotiations “not yet closed” but West Ham are encouraged that the 18-year-old appears interested in a move to the Premier League.
The striker could follow in the footsteps of Endrick and depart Palmerias for a move to Europe this summer.
West Ham move closer to Luis Guilherme signing
The Hammers have already had one deal for a Brazilian fall through ahead of the summer transfer window and will be hoping this one doesn’t go the same way.
A move for Fabricio Bruno looked to be all but done before personal terms got in the way and the potential signing failed.
Now Tim Steiten has turned his attentions to Guilherme who he will look to sign as soon as possible to remove any risk of a similar situation.
Despite his young age, the forward is very versatile and has some other key attributes which could make him well-suited to English football.

His electric pace and desire to cut inside onto his stronger left foot makes him a threat from range as a striker or winger.
He has never played in Europe before which may pose a risk to the Hammers given that he will cost upwards of £25m this summer window.
In other West Ham news, the reason is revealed on why David Sullivan reportedly rejected Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick.
