West Ham United have ‘no problem’ paying £17.5m to sign Spezia striker M’Bala Nzola, have ‘excellent’ relations with his agent
West Ham want to sign Spezia striker M’Bala Nzola this summer, and could use their “Excellent” relationship with his agent to seal a deal.
The Hammers have splashed the cash on strikers in the last two transfer windows, signing Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo for £35m in the summer before adding Danny Ings in a £15m deal in January.
But the team have had trouble scoring goals all season and according to a report from CalcioSpezia (26 March), West Ham would have “no problem” signing a check for around £17.5m to bring Nzola to the London Stadium next season.

The club have previously dealt with his agent Giovanni Branchini when they signed Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus and have maintained a very good relationship with him.
Bizarre
Obviously West Ham need to strengthen in the summer, because this season simply hasn’t been good enough by anyone’s standards.
But considering the club have already got Scamacca and Ings in the squad who they’ve invested big in, plus Michail Antonio also an option for the striker position it’s not something that should be a priority.
Nzola is hardly a proven option either, and it just seems odd that the club would be targeting someone like Nzola so early considering we have glaring other options in the squad.

We are desperate for a proper goalkeeper to replace Lukasz Fabianski, we need new full-backs, new midfielders and new options in attack too.
It’s always good to have links with agents to seal signings, but this is one we don’t really need. Add to that the fact that David Moyes could well be gone too, it’s probably one to ignore for now.
